POCI Commences HIV/ADS Education Program on Obouba Fm 97.1 in Nkawkaw
Mar 21 2013Plight of the Child International has commenced our HIV/AIDS Education Program on Obuoba 97.1 Fm. The program is an educative one that discusses topical issues on HIV/AIDS aimed at reducing children made orphans as a results of HIV/AIDS. The panel members include HIV/AIDS patients, nurses, health workers and some staff of POCI. Tune in this saturday at 10.30 GMT

LOVE LIFE PROJECT (HIV/AIDS) REPORT
This is a programme named Love Life Project. It is aimed at reducing children made orphans as a result of HIV/AIDS .
There has been a constant increase of HIV/AIDS cases each day in our world with Africa been a high victim and therefore the need for the LOVE LIFE Project. In most remote communities, we find a lot of orphans who lost their parent through AIDS and Ofoase is no exception.
The Ofoase community welcomed our idea very well and we were very glad with the kind of support we received from the participating schools. We realized that to solve this issue, it will be good to target the young ones, so as they grow up this message becomes a part of them and they know how to live their lives as they saying goes “to stop a tree from growing, you cut it from the root and not the branches”.
Community health program Report
Sep 23 2012Plight of the child International partnered with DoctorsAct to run an eight (8) day community health program. The program aimed at among others to educating the beneficial communities on basic health issues including personal hygiene , first aid and other topical health issues; giving free treatment ,presenting gifts and sharing the word of God with beneficial communities.
